NASHVILLE, TN...July 1, 2009...With the release of the musical mayhem Adventures in Eville, powerpop trio Eleventyseven is set to make their mark on 2009. Their Sony/BMG Japan and Independent digital release continues with an element of ridiculous while retaining the ability to create a personal connection with their listeners. The trio of high school friends plan to connect worldwide as they travel overseas this fall to Japan.
Released digitally June 30th, Adventures in Eville is nothing atypical of what Eleventyseven’s fans have come to know. The songs range from fictional fun songs that include cyborg robot squirrels and a sidekick dog named Grover Cleveland to the real-life topics of human relationships.
“This record was written to remind people of how fun life can be if we just live it,” shares lead vocalist Matt Langston. “Sometimes we need songs that just let us breathe and enjoy life.”
Amongst the fun enjoyable songs, the band also sends out a positive message with their current radio single, “Trying,” which portrays the band’s desire to continue this path they’ve been on, to wake up everyday, enjoy what they do and go for it. Here are what a few program directors are raving about with this newest single:
“‘Trying’ is doing great with us! From day one we have been getting calls and it is one of our most requested and best testing songs!”
-- Jeff Howe, YES FM Program Director
“Eleventyseven is back with a Spectacular New Single, "Trying"...We Premiered on the Weekend show, and the phones went Crazy!”
--Cale Nelson, The Z nation Music Director
Following tour dates across the country this summer, Eleventyseven will jet to Japan for a fall tour, where they have had a huge response and sales success with the past two releases. The band will also debut the music video for “Evil Genius” on July 7th.
